2009 Blocker's Road Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir
Philosophy:
The 2009 Blockers Road Pinot Noir is my first ‘Crack’ at this variety. Over my drinking years I’ve come to love the many expressions of Pinot that each region and country seems to produce. From the spicy rich and dense Barossa Pinots that were more like Claret than anything else that I remember from the 80’s through to the lilting etherial Tasmanian New Zealand and of course French, the many faces of Pinot Noir have captured my heart. Being an avowed “Barossa Boy” this attitude may come as a bit of a surprise to some but those who know me better understand that it’s taste and texture that drives me on... not just balls and brawn.
